This is so simple that you will wonder how come you have never thought of it before. This is a consistent steady money maker that really requires very little work, though it does take a little bit of money.
Have you heard of penny auctions?
Imagine if you had discovered eBay as a place to buy things before everyone else did? I have always been pretty "plugged-in" in regards to the internet and I did. I will tell you the deals I got there were ridiculous. I never used it to make money, but I did use it to save a ton. I find most things sell on ebay now for about what they are worth. There are so many buyers there that bids just go up and up and up. In fact, many people use eBay as their first stop when looking for something to purchase now. It's the first place I go when thinking about a used car.
So, penny auctions. There is a second generation of online auctions that is just now getting started. The deals are there like they were on eBay in the beginning. Only now I know how to make extra money on them. There are two methods to do this. The results are different so I will share both here.
The first thing you need to do is join a penny auction site, there are several out there but rather than trying to track auctions at multiple sites stick with just one. I use Quibids, I did try a few others, and this is the one I have stuck with the longest. Their url is www.quibids.com
Make money from penny auctions.
So, here is what we are going to do. We are going to buy products on the penny auction site with the intent to resell them. Then at the end, I am going to share some tools to help increase your earnings.
Pick any product on the site, really anything it doesn't matter. Look it up in two places, eBay and your local craigslist. You will notice a difference in prices. Ebay is generally more than craigslist. It goes to what I said above, they just have more buyers. So why do you want to look at both?
If you need to get your cash back fast, craigslist is the way to go. It has never taken me more than 48 hours to sell something on craigslist. That's 48 hours from when I posted the ad to when I met the person at Starbucks and gave them the product and got my cash. (Always meet your craigslist buyers in a public place, never let them know where you live. Actually I even go so far as to have a tracphone just for craigslist business and not give out my real number.)
One other thought about craigslist. I sold three iPad's on craigslist before I found the right price. The first one I under priced and could have sold it a hundred times. The second I was a little over priced and my first inquiry took two days, but he did buy it. I dropped the price a little on the third and sold it in one day with only three inquiries about it. eBay is little more forgiving if you miss the price.
Which brings me to the times you would use eBay. All your auctions on eBay should be at least four days. Then you also have to ship the product to the buyer. It takes a little longer, and is a little more work. You should be fine though as the prices are generally higher on eBay sales. The other good thing about eBay is you don't have to talk to anyone. Generally buyers bid without asking questions, and send you their shipping info and payment as soon as the auction ends. You come home from work package and ship their product.
That's it. I sell three to four things a week on eBay that I buy from quibids. I stick to electronics because they always sell and they have a high profit margin. Also, I cheat. I found a program that helps me on quibids (another reason to stick with them.) Bid-Ninja is the program. What it does is it analyzes activity on quibids and then shares that info with you. This allows you to know what you should pay for something. So you stumble across what looks like a really good deal on an iPad. Bid Ninja will tell you if it is. Then you know if you should bid on that auction or look for another.
Even though that's a great feature, here is the real benefit. While you are at work, fixing dinner for the kids, taking them to soccer practice or any of the other myriad of things we have to do, bid ninja bids for you.
Remember I said this system was easy. I put maybe three hours a week into buying products on quibids using bid ninja, then posting on eBay and shipping out. In the last six months I made $4,825 from doing this. That breaks down to $61 bucks an hour for a part time job. I only plan to increase that as I save up money to buy more inventory to resell.
Try this out and come back and leave me a comment about how it worked for you.

What You Need to Know About Making Money Online
It's probably one of the most popular search terms in the world: “how to make money online”. But it can also be one of the most difficult things to accomplish. There are thousands of work from home jobs, as well as literally thousands of ways to make money online – but it can be really tricky to sort through the wheat from the chaff, so to speak, to find the right opportunities for you. Here's what you need to know about how to make money online.
·
If
something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Thousands of positions
advertise astonishing salaries, job perks and much, much more, but it is very
rare for any of these perks to actually occur. Use a little bit of savvy when
searching for positions and in general, always follow the rule that if it seems
to good to ever be true (especially if the position mentions that you might
think it is too good to be true), it likely is.
·
Competition
is fierce. The work from home industry is huge and worth millions and millions
of dollars a year and because there is the potential to earn so much money – if
you know where to look – competition is particularly fierce. If you're looking
for jobs online, or through freelancing sites, competitors in other countries
that have a lower cost of living could easily undercut you and this does tend
to mean that you really have to prove yourself in the market. If you have the
skills, you can expect to claim a higher price in the market – but if you're
new and still trying to prove yourself, you might well find it difficult to
compete and so it's important that you spend a little bit of time on developing
your skills before you get started.
·
You
need to put in a lot of work. There isn't one magic system that can help you
make thousands of dollars a week by clicking a few buttons. No system is truly
automated and you will always have to work. Although adverts might tell you
that all you need to do is “click this button” to receive thousands of dollars
a week from Google, it is simply a way to get you to click on their ad and buy
their product. If you want to make serious money, you have to put in serious
work – but the bonus is that you can do it from home.
·
You
can make more money than you would in a “real” job. Some people have a bit of a
misconception and believe that working from home isn't a “proper” job and that
you can't make “proper” money. Wrong. The only difference is that how much
money you make is dictated by what you do. You can't coast and play games on
your phone all day. Although this can be scary, it can also be a particularly
powerful motivator.
·
This
isn't a 9 to 5 job. Although you can work from 9 to 5 with an hour for lunch
and a break mid-afternoon, you'll find that your earnings increase massively if
you'd be willing to put in a little bit of work in the evenings and at the
weekends. Also, you'll probably end up working with people who live in
completely different time zones – and this means that you might have to stay up
late or get up early in the morning for a Skype chat or to answer an email. But
the flip side to this is that although you might be working, you still get to
be at home with your family – and that's why so many people want to work from
home.
·
You
can always go back to working in the “real world”. There is a bit of a
misconception that if you leave the world of work and set up your own business
or work from home that you can never go back. But you absolutely can. As long
as you don't leave your job and sit at home for six months before you do
anything, working from home demonstrates that you have a lot of business savvy
and the potential to be something amazing.
Tips for Making Money From Home
Whether
you just like being at home, or are housebound due to family or work
commitments or disabilities, there are literally scores of ways to up your
income from the comfort of your own home – without having to do much in the way
of work. Learn how to make money from home by decluttering, reclaiming, getting
cash back and renting out your goods with these simple yet easy tips.
·
Firstly,
make the money that you do have work harder for you. Put your savings
into high interest rate accounts or ISAs, switch to cash back debit and credit
cards, ensure that you are receiving all of your entitlements when it comes to
state benefits and pensions and if you are particularly savvy with money, you
can get interest on your earnings by saving them and spending on a 0% interest
card instead.
·
Sell
what you can. Go onto auction websites and flog clothes, unwanted or unused
gadgets, jewelry, furniture and virtually anything else you can think of.
This way, you get to declutter your home whilst making profits, too!
·
Don't
forget that you can sell or trade in old books, CDs and DVDs, too. Textbooks
for school and college are particularly valuable, but you can also easily sell
books, CDs and DVDs by popular authors, singers and actors very easily.
·
Find
objects at antique fairs, flea markets and car boot sales and sell them on. If
you have a good eye and can spot a bargain, you could potentially earn a lot of
money by buying items very cheaply and selling them on. You can earn the
largest amount of money by selling on items that are particularly old. Look for
Victoriana furniture and art deco pieces, as they tend to sell really well.
Don't forget to look for vintage clothing, too – there's a potentially huge
market for it.
·
Got
a story that you think lots of people would want to hear? Or do you want to
inspire people? Sell your story. It's easier than you might think, too.
Magazines are often willing to pay a huge amount of money if they can publish
your story, whilst others will pay for funny photos or snippets. Contact
magazines directly for the best rates.
·
Rent
out goods. If you have a spare bedroom and can take in a lodger, do so. If you
live in the centre of town and have a potentially valuable parking space, you
could even rent that. You can also rent out spare storage space, if you have
it, such as in your loft space or even in your garden shed. And if your home is
particularly pretty, you might even be able to rent it out as a film location!
·
If
you're a bit of a shopaholic, one of the simplest ways of making money online
is to sign up to cashback websites. Buying through a cashback website, instead
of directly from a website, could help you earn between 2-5% per purchase. You
can also earn money by clicking through from certain sites when you want to
make a purchase like car insurance, and by registering your credit or debit
card online with certain cashback sites, earn cashback when you shop in store
too. In store cashback can be anywhere from 4-12%, which is a huge percentage,
particularly for high ticket purchases.
·
Have
a think about what you're good at. Love crafts? Making jams? Chutneys? Or are
you a dab hand at sewing? Trade on your skills and make people happy at the
same time by setting up a little cottage industry from your home. Enquire with
your local council if you want to sell food or drink goods as these may require
certain permissions and inspections.
Making
money from home is easier than you might think. Making your money work harder
can be more lucrative than you could ever imagine – and so could renting and
selling your goods.
Finding Legitimate Work From Home Jobs
More
and more people are searching for work from home jobs, but many find it
difficult to secure a position because they do not know where to start – plus,
there are so many scam positions that it can be difficult for any would-be job
hunter to find the right job for them. But there are literally thousands and
thousands of legitimate work from home jobs – it just takes a little more time
and effort to find them.
Avoiding
Scam Jobs
Internet
fraud is now more sophisticated than ever before and newer and more complicated
scams are occurring day in, day out, across the country. One such scam is the
“seems too good to be true” work from home job. These scam jobs are often
advertised on local selling sites like Craigslist and Gumtree, rather than
through their own legitimate website, and offer a wide variety of job perks.
These positions advertise salaries of anywhere from $250 a week to $2500 a
week, depending on “how much work” you put in, working as few or as many hours per
week as you like. The catch? 9 times out of 10, these positions require you to
send in a small “token” payment of anywhere from $5 to $100, while others ask
for your bank details so that they can take the funds directly. Because $5
sounds like a small amount, thousands and thousands of people would be willing
to pay – which adds up to a huge pay day at the end of the month for the
organization who posted the job. In general, these positions are no more than
pyramid schemes. If you're unsure, email to clarify what the job entails. Most
genuine companies will be happy to give you at least a brief overview of the
How
Can I Tell if a Job is Legitimate?
There
are thousands of companies out there that are willing to hire people to work
from home, so don't just assume that all jobs are scams. Generally, legitimate
work at home positions include responsibilities like customer service, customer
agent, writing, transcribing, recruiting, sales, tech, web design, marketing,
telemarketing and customer care, although positions like illustration,
copywriting and voice work are also fairly common. With a quick internet
search, you should be able to tell whether a company is legitimate or not.
Generally, you should be able to find background information, information about
the company or employer or at least more information about the position. If you
are unable to find anything, run addresses, phone numbers and email addresses
through Google too.
What
Job Can I Do?
When
looking for work from home jobs, the first thing you need to do is assess your
own skill set. What is it that you can
do? What did you do in your previous job and how can you apply those skills?
Once you've had a good think about the type of skills that you can bring to a
job, you'll be able to assess how those skills could work for other positions.
For example, if you worked as a salesperson, you might also be able to work in
customer service or sales writing. Think about what you can do and search for
jobs that match that skill set.
There
is a work from home job for everyone – you just need to go out there and find
it.
Do Things Differently to Make Money Online
Virtually
everyone has to rely on their income in order to survive. To pay for the
mortgage, to pay the bills, enjoy holidays and days out with the family and
have some leftover to spend or use as disposable income usually requires a full
time job. Most people working for a company do so at an office or place of
work, for 40-60 hours a week with a commute there and back. But what if you
could do things differently? What if you could make money online and still enjoy
the same lifestyle, without having to commute to an office, without having to
spend 60 hours a week at your desk, allowing you to spend more time at home
with your family? It can be done! Learn more about how you can make
money online with the tips below.
·
Sell
stuff. Data shows that everyone has at least $1000 worth of goods in their home
that they don't use and don't need. Sell that stuff and you get $1000. Easy,
right? Well, you can take this idea even further. Instead of just selling
things that you don't need, think about things that other people need and sell
them instead. Things that you might never think of, like mobile phone cases,
earrings and pet clothes are all big sellers on certain auction sites. Set up a
seller's profile, buy from a wholesale seller and sell the goods on. It's an
easy and very effective way of making money!
·
Flipping
domain names. With a little bit of business savvy and a little hard work, you
can buy domain names – and flip them – to make money. Poorly maintained sites
that use a generic search term or that contain a valuable name can be bought
for less than a few thousand dollars and sold on for two, three or even ten
times that, depending on the amount of work put into the flip.
·
Customer
service. There's a growing demand for remote customer service agents, simply
because the costs associated with a freelance customer service agent tend to be
far less than the costs associated with staff in-house. If you have a knack for
customer service, are handy with a computer and like talking to customers over
the phone, a home-based customer service position could be for you.
·
Sell
online content. If you're a keen photographer, a writer, web designer or app
designer, content creator or even a musician, you can make money by selling
that content online. Photographers can sell their images through stock
photography sites, while web designers and app designers can design content and
apps for other companies and keen writers can self-publish their own ebooks
through sites like Kindle. Most of the time, whatever you can do, you can sell.
·
Sell
your knowledge. There are thousands and thousands of people across the world
who want to be tutored in a wide variety of subjects. Many people are willing
to pay good money to learn how to speak English, whilst others want to learn
how to play an instrument, how to eat properly as well as how to pass exams in
science and maths. If you've ever worked as a tutor, teacher or teaching
assistant – or if you just have a lot of knowledge about something, you'll be able
to work as an online tutor. You can even teach online classes, too, as well as
individuals.
There
are a huge number of ways to make money online. Think outside the box and think
about the commodities that you have or that you could provide and you'll soon
be on your way to making money in the comfort of your own home.
